Back to school tomorrow :)

Nothing new to show you yet, as it's the last day of the school holidays today we took the two younger children to an indoor adventure playground (Lydia is now too 'grown up' to go and didn't fancy running around after Phoebe) so she went shopping with her Nan.

I went to sew the labels on their school uniforms tonight thinking all I had to do was put my hand on them but I can't find them!!! I've put them in a 'safe' place, just can't remember where it is!!! so I've had to use a permanent marker in the meantime 'til I find them. I shouldn't leave these things to the last minute anyway.....

I'm going to go now and try and make a card for my wee niece who will be 8 next week. No idea yet what I'm going to do..... will post it tomorrow if I get it done :)

Quick post tonight...

I've been feeling pretty unwell since Friday and today is the first I've been out of bed for any length of time so nothing craft wise to show you.

Poor mum, it was her birthday on Saturday and I didn't even have a card for her, but Lydia made one. So HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY MUM!! and thanks for all you do :)

I hope I'll be able to work on something tomorrow, I've some birthdays coming up and it's Phoebe's 3rd birthday in a few weeks too so really do have to make her a card this year... She says she wants a purple cake and a purple present??? must be watching too much Barney....

She was up to badness today again...she had a little 6"x4"colouring in picture and 'found' my good paintbrush (so she says), took Lydia's rose & almond oil vaseline in a small tin (which was the paint) and proceeded to paint the picture with it.. only... her 'table' was her bed which has a white duvet cover with small embroidered flowers over it...... you can imagine what red vaseline is like painted all over it! She did cover the picture pretty good though~ fortunately it has all washed out of the duvet cover at a high temperature and a good dose of Vanish powder!!

Anyways, better head back to bed my head is pounding :(

I love these little box bags!

I love these little box bags and they're the perfect size to fit an altered notebook and a treat box. Perfect little gift for someone :)

The punched flower is by Whale of a Punch and is the retro flower. The smaller flower is an xcut flower punch and the brad is papermania pearl. The pine branches are a McGill punch.

Mini Book...

I haven't had time to post anything for a few days, I've been busy working on new projects! This is a little snippet of one of them. It's a little mini album with lots of chipboard embellishments and it's coming together bit by bit :)

Check back soon for more pics!!

Another little notepad

This is another little notepad made with the Bind it all (see post below). The only differences with this is that I used a post it note pad instead of a plain notepad and the dimensions are smaller.

The paper is Basic Grey Scarlett's Letter collection - Glance

I cut the chipboard to 3.5" x 3.5" but I think it's a bit too short for the notepad. I also used larger white Owires.

The flowers are from Green Tara and the leaves were punched with a McGill punch.

The chipboard bookplate was cut with a Sizzix die using the cuttlebug. The word 'notes' was again cut with the Craft Robo (I love it because I can get such small letters in any font I like :) from red card.

I used wide satin ribbon and it's fraying at the edges but as it's just for me I don't mind! To stop this happening I would run a little fabric glue along the edge.

Bind it all Notepad and pen

Close up of Glossy Accents

Inside Pages

I quickly made this little notepad with the Bind it all.

I made 2 chipboard coasters cut to size (4" x 4") and covered with Papermania Antique Cream paper. Punched the holes with the Bind it all and secured them together with brown Owires.

The notepaper inside is from a small notepad and attached with strong double sided tape (I didn't punch it with the bind it all).

The word 'notes' is cut with the Craft Robo and covered with glossy accents.

The little flower is punched with an xcut punch and an antique brad in the centre all secured with glossy accents.

The chipboard flourish is cut with a cuttlebug die (can't remember the name!) and the ribbon is organza and satin spot from my stash.

The pen is a regular black pen covered with matching paper and tied with a narrow ribbon.

This was made to give as a gift, so I'm off now to make one for myself (can never find a notepad when I need one!!)

Back home again :)

Had a lovely time! Some sunshine in between the showers.....
The children really loved the beach, which is where we ended up nearly every day.
Glad to be back though, have made a little notebook with the bind-it-all and will hopefully post some pictures later.

xx

You can see the dark sky here, it rained shortly after this picture was taken.... Caleb was burying Lydia and Phoebe's legs in the sand!

Off to the beach!!!

Hi!
There is lots of excitement in our house this morning!! I'm heading off on holiday today with Mum and the children for a week :-D
Richard is staying at home to catch up on some work :-( (I think he'll be glad of the peace and quiet though!!)
Hopefully, we'll have a nice rest and I'll get lots of crafting done when I come home.
Back soon!!

Close up of embellishments...

I was up very late last night finishing this album and bag as a gift for my Aunt and Uncle. I was so tired this morning I could hardly see it to take the photos!! I do love it and I'm going to make one for Mum for her birthday as she loves it too. The Paper Mill has fantastic white mount board in the shop just now and it cuts really well in the Cuttlebug. I cut all the letters from the board and inked and embossed them. I also inked the edges of the doily lace border and the large flower.

Plain beige paper
Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch
Distress Inks – Old paper, Frayed Burlap
